Background
Thirty years of
making things
by hand.
Karon Woodland has been designing and constructing garments for over three decades. Her training was hands-on and uncompromising — learned through doing, through failure, through the kind of repetition that eventually becomes instinct.
She has worked across leather, suede, silk, and specialty textiles — developing a fluency with materials that only comes from years of direct contact with them. She knows how a hide behaves under tension. How silk shifts on the bias. How suede ages.
That knowledge is not decorative. It is structural. It is what makes the difference between a garment that looks right and one that feels inevitable.
Point of View
Clothing is not
decoration. It is language.
On Presence
What you wear communicates before you speak. Karon designs with that in mind — not to make a statement for its own sake, but to give the person wearing it a precise and powerful one.
On Fit
A garment that does not fit is a garment that fights you. Karon believes fit is not a finishing detail — it is the foundation. Everything else is built on top of it.
On Longevity
She does not design for seasons. She designs for decades. A piece from the atelier should still be worn — and still be relevant — twenty years from now.

She works with you directly.
There is no account manager, no assistant who takes your measurements and reports back. Every client works with Karon personally, from the first appointment to the final fitting.

If a silhouette will not serve you, she says so. If a fabric choice will not hold up, she says so. Clients trust her because she has never told them what they wanted to hear at the expense of what they needed to know.
