Every piece that leaves under the Karon Woodland name is designed, cut, and constructed in the atelier. There is no factory. No production partner. No team of assistants executing someone else's vision.
Karon works alone — by choice. Because the intimacy of the process is inseparable from the quality of the result. When one person holds the entire garment in their mind from first sketch to final stitch, nothing gets lost in translation.
This is what bespoke means here. Not a premium tier. A different way of working entirely.
Materials
The fabric is chosen
after the design.
Leather
Full-grain and specialty leathers sourced for weight, drape, and longevity. Each hide selected by hand — for texture, character, and how it will age on the body.
Suede
Soft, directional, and unforgiving of imprecision. Karon works with suede where other designers avoid it — because the difficulty is exactly the point.
Silk & Satin
For pieces that move. Fluid fabrics that require a different kind of construction — one that respects the material rather than fighting it.
Specialty Textiles
Brocades, jacquards, embroidered cloth, and fabrics sourced from mills that do not sell to mass production. Materials that arrive with a history.
Construction
How a garment
earns its shape.
The pattern is drawn for you.
No block patterns adapted from a standard size. Every commission begins with your measurements — and a pattern drafted to your body alone.
Construction is done by hand.
Seams are pressed as they are sewn. Linings are cut on the bias when the drape demands it. Details that will never be seen are finished with the same care as those that will.
Fit is non-negotiable.
A garment is not finished until it fits. Not until it is close — until it is right. Fittings continue until the piece moves with you the way it was designed to.
Nothing is rushed.
Commissions are accepted based on capacity, not demand. Karon takes on the work she can do properly. Your piece receives the time it requires.
